Abstract
The paper presents the results of the development of high voltage high frequency (HVHF) power transformer 0.6kV/60kV, which is applied within a multiresonant power converter for supplying the electrode system of electrostatic precipitators (ESP). The design of HVHF transformer was the major challenge, since it was designed for a power of 60kW and a working frequency of ≈10 kHz. Before the integration with the HVHF multiresonant power converter, the transformer was laboratory tested in open-circuit and short circuit regimes. Further, complete thermal vision of the transformer was performed. Key results of the experimental verification, including characteristic waveforms and thermal images for the previously mentioned operating regimes, are presented in the paper.
