Abstract
Assembly sequence planning is subject to constraints such as geometry and technological properties. In this paper, geometric feasibility, assembly priority relationship, and assembly aggregation are taken into account. The product assembly model is built, and the interference matrix, assembly priority relation matrix, and assembly aggregation matrix are extracted to establish the optimization objectives. Discrete particle swarm optimization (DPSO) is established to search for feasible solutions under constraints; The mutation factor is introduced to exchange the position of parts in the assembly sequence to prevent the algorithm from falling into local optimization. The verification of a machine tool feeding device shows that this method can effectively solve the combination explosion problem and improve the assembly efficiency and product assembly quality.
