Abstract
The paper offers mathematical models and software for electromagnetic calculations in conducting plate with flaws (cuts). It solves the problem of the influence of one or more straight line intersecting in one point of flaws on eddy currents and electromotive force (EF) induced in a coil with current. The coil is located above the nonmagnetic infinite plate orthogonally to the lines of flaws. Under these conditions, when the plate is geometrically thin and can be replaced by a conducting surface, the problem is solved analytically. The calculation data illustrated by the graphs of the dependence of the EF on the proximity of the flaws when the frequency of the current and the height of the coil are varied show that the contribution of the flaws to the magnetic reaction is practically attenuated at a distance exceeding the sum of the linear dimension of the coil and its height.
