Abstract
The sub-continent has been the hub of Muslim civilization and culture for centuries. Its impact may still be seen on today's civilization. The distinct Islamic arts especially of the Mughal dynasty ruled for more than three hundred years from Babur to Alamgir. The policies of the Mughal Empire have remained the same in almost every era. Gardens, architecture, madrassas, mosques, trade, archery, literature, music, painting and other arts have reached such heights and perfection that the world still appreciates them. Following in the footsteps of his forefathers, Jahangir played an important role in the Indian civilization and fine arts, his literary taste was exemplary. The purpose of this article is to review the work on fine arts in the time of Jahangir.
