Abstract
This paper presents a C++ program named ALPHA MODEL as the pioneer software for modelling and analysis of hydrate-saturation-dependent permeability for hydrate-bearing porous media. ALPHA MODEL features a main graphical user interface (GUI) controlling program execution, display and output of data and results, and a few secondary GUIs for mathematical calculations. Users can use it to not only get the most applicable permeability model by running the fitting analysis module, but also deduce some properties (hydrate pore morphology and formation conditions) through direct visual display. ALPHA MODEL has been proved to be credible when applied to laboratory and natural samples.
