Abstract
Thermal joining in combination with final heat treatment was successfully integrated in serial production of structure parts in aircraft industries. The contour deviations which occurred after final heat treatment have to be reshaped with additional processes. But the final heat treatment is only partly responsible for the occurred distortions. In fact the whole process chain for manufacturing of structural parts in aircraft industries has to be considered. Experiments will be discussed, which describe systematically the interactions of the single processes along the whole process chain. The results show, that already during the production of the sheets distortion potentials are inserted, which will be released after final heat treatment.
