Developing countries like Pakistan are facing challenges in the implementation of ICT in public schools. For this purpose, a survey was conducted in the Education Department of KP province and questionnaires were filled by the education officers. Results of the study indicate that dearth of funds for education sector impede the effective implementation of ICT in public schools. Moreover, expenditure of hardware/software, obsolete curriculum, malfunction of power supply/ internet connection, and lack of ICT based teachers' training are the major barriers that obstruct the integration of ICT in public schools.
