Three-page typewritten letter on Ulster Volunteer Force Hospital, Belfast stationery from Sir Richard Dawson Bates to Lady Londonderry rejecting her suggestion to call the Ulster Women's Unionist Council together and discusses how well the hospital is doing, with the exception of the Matron's poor administrative abilities. Also enclosed is a letter to Sir Dawson Bates from R.W. Ford expressing his pleasure at inspecting the hospital.
