Abstract
Goal: Patients with end-stage kidney disease (including Kidney failure, Dialysis) spend many health insurance budgets each year and a lot of health care resources. Fortunately, the adverse consequences caused by chronic kidney disease (CKD) can be prevented or delayed through early detection and early treatment. The purpose of this study is to explore the factors related to the lifestyle of Taiwanese people and chronic kidney disease based on the adult health examination data of the health screening center. Methods: A total of 41,437 people who participated in the huge health screening institute in Taiwan from 2011 to 2015 were selected as the research subjects. The 1,251 subjects were CKD Phase III group and another 40,186 were subjects was of non-CKD group, and their gender, age, body mass index (BMI), lifestyle, and whether they suffered from chronic kidney disease, etc. Statistical methods such as descriptive statistics, chi-square test and logistic regression are used for data analysis. CKD is defined by the estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) < 60 mL/min/1.73m^2. Results:Men are at a higher risk of CKD than women. The higher the age, and BMI, got the higher the risk of CKD. The potential risk factors for CKD include gender, age, BMI, the habit of sugary drinks intake and the number of exercises. Conclusion:People who participate in adult health examinations should calculate the GFR, and those who have reached the third stage of CKD and should be indicated in the health report. People with chronic kidney disease-related factors should be advised to receive medical treatment Follow-up diagnosis and treatment in hospitals in elderly for early detection and early treatment. It is necessary to control personal life style and promote healthy life.
