Abstract
Regional Revitalization has become a critical topic in regional development and settlement governance. This study explored the 'Agriculture × Cultural and Creative Industry' of indigenous tribes regarding the integration of Regional Revitalization and social practice into design and creative teaching. A project study course was used to guide students to learn about the cultures of indigenous tribes, to enter the farming villages, to be close to the land, and to discover their uniqueness. The design of teaching materials for problem-oriented learning in this research employed an action research process and developed a project design suitable for the realization of local cultures of indigenous tribes. From researching for this course, we had the following discoveries: 1. Students developed the ability to observe. They could concretely observe and care about society. During the learning process, they developed the ability to implement their civic literacy, and they were able to provide more professional design services to give back to society. 2. Students concretely gained the ability to implement their professional knowledge and capabilities. By incorporating the method of learning from doing, realizing from learning, comprehending from realizing, and acting from comprehending, they learned about local cultures, industries, and the content of education, realizing university social responsibilities. 3. Students developed their communication ability and became competent in interaction and cooperation. This ability was conducive to multiparty communications among groups, industry owners they served, and teachers, and favorable mutual trust and a sense of belonging were formed. 4. Students gained the ability to act and concretely realize and implement their practice. They were able to use the knowledge and skills they learned to produce works and to serve society through innovative designs. 5. Students developed the ability to reflect and could form concrete self-aware learning. They could realize holistic development involving active learning and reflection. According to the research results, this study proposed the implementation results of this lesson plan, which may serve as a reference for subsequent design teaching for Regional Revitalization.
