Abstract
In recent years, the significant progress in the development of intraoperative image-guided surgery accounts for its seminal place in the surgical field, along with new symposia and sessions being regularly organized during international surgical conferences. The current status of image-guided surgery and new intraoperative imaging techniques in the field of digestive surgery are described in the light of our group's research results in the present overview.
