Abstract
|This study analyses the storytelling utterances of Taiwanese learners of Japanese and Native Japanese Speakers using the I-JAS corpus. We focused on the frequency of occurrence, considering the duration of speech and the filler produced. We obtained the following results. ① Learners' filler is more different with Native speakers as proficiency increases. ② Native speakers produce more filler than learners. ③ Extended filler increases, lexical filler increases as proficiency increases. ④ There is a common trend in the learners' fillers. Learners' filler is concentrated on 'soshite' and 'ano' and 'a' and 'e'. ⑤ Native speakers' filler is concentrated on 'e' and 'etto'.
