Abstract
Neuronal cell apoptosis plays an important regulatory role in the development and tumorigenesis of the nervous system. Elucidating its molecular mechanism is of great significance for the prevention and treatment of various nervous system diseases. The regulatory function of MARVELD1 gene in nervous system diseases has not been clearly studied so far. In this study, TUNEL assay was performed to detect apoptosis cells. Immunofluorescence and western blot were used to analyze apoptosis‐related genes and the signal pathway molecules. The results showed that MARVELD1 could promote Neuro2A cell apoptosis. In addition, MARVELD1 regulated apoptosis‐related genes, including Cleaved Caspase3, Bax, Bcl2. Furthermore, we explored the mechanism that MARVELD1 promoted Neuro2A cell apoptosis by inhibiting the Notch1 and Smad3 signaling pathways. These results highlight the potential usefulness of MARVELD1 as a potential target for nervous system diseases.
