Abstract
Purposes: Identify the differences on total gazing frequency, time, and fixation (trunk, arms, steps, head, or kicks) of Taekwondo athletes in class A when viewing 3D and 2D videoed Poomsae (Pyongwon) movements. Methods: 11 class A Poomsae athletes were recruited to watch both 3D and 2D videos on an integrated Stereoscopic System. Data regarding total gazing frequency, time, and fixation were collected for t-test statistical analysis. Results: the total gaze frequency is higher in 3D video than 2D video. For Pyongwon movements, the gazing time on steps and kicks in 3D was significantly longer than in 2D. Conclusions: there are visual differences between watching 2D and 3D videoed Pyongwon movements. The visual search frequency of athletes is increased when viewing 3D videos.
