Abstract
Since Taekwondo became an official event of the Sydney Olympics in 2000, Ping Jen Senior High School Taekwondo Team has won several national championships and fostered a number of international athletes. From 2012 this school has set a record of six consecutive dominances girls group and won the double team championships of the high school respective boys and girls groups in the Taiwan senior high school games. This nationally well-known school team has been playing an important role in the four-level sports talent training system. The research purpose: to conduct its management model of this school's sport team, analyze the operations of its related organizations, and clarify its training mode for players and how the coaches run this team. The research topics include the development history of the case, the connotation of the management model, and the training strategy, in order to provide a reference for the development of relevant athletic sports teams. The research method is based on case study to establish the team's management model through various materials and in-depth interviews with relevant interviewees. The study findings were as follows: 1. This team was established with the school in 2000, and it has grown stronger with Taekwondo as the new official Olympics Taekwondo event and the support of the national sports policy. 2. The school organized a national-level coaching team, led by Kung-Cheng Chiu, recruiting both coaches, Wei-Hsin Chen and Qiong-fang Zhang. They cooperate well with each other and show specific training performance. 3. A training plan is drawn up on a yearly basis according to the major competitions, so that the players are able to clearly understand the training goals and implement the training plan. Its key successful factors include special training schedules in accordance with the principle of sports specificity, formulate tactics in accordance with the latest competition rules and strict fundamentals, wearing electronic protective gear for actual combat simulation on a weekly basis., the leadership style of the coaching team to have the autonomous players. Therefore, everyone in the team is engaged in the same training vision.
