Abstract
In an effort to evaluate the effect of natural and synthetic estrogens on hepatic function, sexually mature female and male rats were treated for 10 days with 17β-estradiol, diethylstilbestrol, chlorotrianisene, and clomiphene citrate. Results indicated that the effect of estrogens on hepatic function relates both to the structural characteristics of the estrogen and the sex of the recepient.
