Abstract
This book is a monograph on pediatric electrocardiography using extensive illustrations in plate form. Following short general introductory remarks, specific differences between electrocardiographic patterns of infants, children, and adults are described. The normal electrocardiogram and vectorcardiogram of infants and children are discussed next. Normal variations are tabulated. Abnormalities of the QRS complex are described briefly. The second part of the book contains the plates of normal infants and children of different age groups followed by abnormalities of rhythm and of the QRS complex due to various conditions. Legends to figures are explicit. References to the works of Sodi-Pallares and Ziegler on systolic and diastolic overload patterns appearing mainly on the American continent are not mentioned. The tracings were taken by direct writing instrument. Special electrodes were used for infants, some of which were modified EEG electrodes. The plates are excellent, and the printing is of high quality. The book can
