Abstract
Graphical abstract: The surface morphology of MAO coatings (a) AS-XY, (b) AS-XZ, (c) 800-XY, (d) 800-XZ, (e) 1050-XY, (f) 1050-XZ, and the schematic diagram of MAO of matrix alloys with different microstructures (g) α′ martensite matrix, (h) α lath matrix, and (i) α lamellar matrix. The annealing treatment altered some coating properties of the alloy, and the BD had no regularly effect on the coating. The microstructure of SLM-formed Ti6Al4VE alloy after different annealing treatments is the key factor affecting the microstructure and properties of the coating.
