Abstract
The article offers information on the alpine species Douglasia nivalis which can be found at the Chumstick Mountain near Leavenworth, Washington. It states that the Douglasia nivalis is the alpine species having deep rose-pink flowers, and which was named after the plant explorer David Douglas. It mentions that according to the book "Alpine Plants of North America" by Graham Nicholl, Douglasia nivalis can also be seen in the rocky areas of British Columbia and Alberta.
