Abstract
The article discusses ways in which Finnish composer Jean Sibelius' 150th birthday in 2015 provides Finland with an opportunity to demonstrate how to be happy musically. Topics covered include the rarity of super-talents such as Sibelius, realizing that there is an abundance of excellent musicians in Finland, and the high quality of music education. Also mentioned are Finland's level of diversity and the complexity of the nation's musical ecology.
