Abstract
The article discusses the virtualization capabilities of Novell's Open Enterprise Server 2 through the use of NetWare 6.5 operating system (OS) on either a physical machine or in a virtual machine using Xen virtualization. The NetWare 6.5 OS has been enhanced to recognize when it is running in a virtualized environment. According to the author, one of the major benefits of running NetWare as a virtual machine in Novell Open Enterprise Server 2 is that it allows the user to fully utilize existing hardware investments.
