Abstract
The article highlights a study which compared hand- and electronic-timing of 10- and 40-yard sprints in college football players. Multivariate analysis of variance (MANOVA) was employed to evaluate differences among player positions for age, height, body mass and the 2 sprint distances. It was noted that the average of hand timing for both 10- and 40-yard was significantly faster than electronic timing.
