Abstract
The article discusses a study which analyzed the dynamic characteristic of a liquefied natural gas (LNG) storage tank during leakage conditions in order to safely design a thermal corner protection (TCP) for the tank. It mentions that the temperature distribution and heat flux was calculated through the use of the finite element method (FEM) to determine the dynamic thermal variations in the tank. The types of LNG storage tanks are also cited, including full containment and membrane containment types.
