Abstract
The article describes a silk coat and a pair of silk trousers acquired by the Cleveland Museum of Art in Ohio. It says that these items are the only set of garments known to have been preserved in Tibet from the period of the early kings. It mentions that the outer fabric of the coat is a polychrome silk with aligned pearl roundels enclosing pairs of confronting ducks standing on split palmettes while a white twill silk was used in the trousers.
