Abstract
The article discusses the single-center study on the use of critical care ultrasonography in the diagnosis of acute respiratory failure's etiology in intensive care units (ICU). The study was reportedly conducted at an academic teaching hospital involving adults with acute hypoxic respiratory failure. The results revealed that thoracic ultrasound and limited echocardiography can be useful in differentiating the causes of the disease in the ICU.
