Abstract
Recent publications have presented a variety of techniques for interpolating and smoothing large masses of agronomic and engineering data. This paper, utilizing the technique of sliding polynomials, demonstrates the development of smooth and continuous curves and gradients from very limited experimental data. Procedures for dealing with data in a transformed time and/or space domain are given. Emphasis is placed on utility of the technique and providing sufficient details through examples to allow ready application.
