Abstract
Let pbe a fixed prime, aand nare positive integers such that (p,n)=1. It is shown that if Gis a finite group such that for every prime qthe set of the conjugacy class sizes of all {p,q}-elements of Gis 1,pa,n,pan, and there is a p-element in Gwhose conjugacy class has size pa, then Gis nilpotent and nis a prime power.
