Abstract
Chapter 5.6 of the book "Dynamic Food Webs: Multispecies Assemblages, Ecosystem Development & Environmental Change," is presented. The chapter discusses the shortcomings of the soil Detrital Food Web (DFW) model on temporal variation within years given its objective to relate to soil food web structure to nutrient availabilty in agro-ecosystems. The study concludes that with integration of experimentation and modelling, dynamic soil food web models which are able to depict and predict the dynamics and control of invertebrate population can be extended.
