Abstract
The article examines the safety and efficacy of an inactivated oil-adjuvanted avian influenza vaccine using an apathogenic H5N1 strain. Methods and materials used in this study are detailed. The results show high antibody response in chickens inoculated with oil-adjuvanted vaccines but presented adverse reactions such as residual oil and inflammatory cell infiltration. The safety net shows no abnormalities induced by intramuscular vaccine injection with one dose. In conclusion, the vaccine exhibited no adverse effects in laboratories and chicken farms.
