Abstract
This article discusses the publication of riddles and puzzles within the Sephardi newspaper titled "Ilustra Güerta de Historia," which was published in Vienna, Austria, from 1880-1882. The author comments on the role of editor Sem Tob Semo in developing the content of the newspaper, which included Judeo-Spanish-language riddles in the section titled "Sala de pasatiempo." She seeks to determine the historical sources of the riddles and examine any similarities with known puzzles in Spanish history.
