Abstract
Methyl 2,6-di-N-acetyl-4-hydroxy-6-epi-α-purpurosaminide B and -4-hydroxy-α-purpurosaminide B have been prepared from d-glucosamine by sequence of reactions including stereoselective nitro aldol reaction.
