Abstract
The access to new III/V compounds is described. The reaction of AlH3(NMe3)2 and ammonia yields very pure AIN. The decomposition of AlH3(NMe3)2 may be used to generate aluminum wires. The reaction of C6F5NH2 and Me3Ga or Me3ln gives the cubanes (C6F5NGaMe)4 and (C6F5NInMe)4, respectively. The chemistry of (Cp*Al)4 is reported. Hetero allylic metal complexes of zinc and cadmium are formed using (RNHAsNR)2 and Zn(N(SiMe3)2)2 or Cd(N(SiMe3)2)2.
