Abstract
In this work a bibliographical review is presented as well as preliminar experiments on the development of modified electrodes with metallic nanoparticles. These electrodes showed good properties as: sensitivity, limit of detection, stability and catalytic activity. When modifying the sensing surface of the carbon paste electrodes (CPEs) benefits like: low cost and renewable surfaces are obtained. In recent works, cyclic voltammetry studies (VC) have been widely used in the electrodeposition of nanoparticles as well as in the characterization of the electrodes. The modification of CPE was done by inmersion in colloidal solutions of gold nanoparticles of different sizes as prospective sensors for toxic components especially in extremely low concentrations.
