Abstract
The article provides case description and discussion that explores the clinical findings associated with concurrent extramedullary hematopoiesis (EMH) effusion in a five-year-old dachshund. It references a study published in an issue of the "Journal of the American Animal Hospital Association." The study also outlines the possible pathogenesis by which the EMH effusion may have arisen in the dog. An image of cytocentrifuged preparation of peritoneal fluid from the dog is provided.
