Abstract
The article discusses the extent of the problem of homelessness in Hawaii and efforts to address the issue as of August 2013. Factors that reportedly aggrevate the issue include high cost of living, low minimum wages and geographical challenges. It cites the findings of a report of The National Law Center on Homelessness and Poverty. Efforts toward addressing the issue include the Partnership for Social Justice Symposium and the Hawaii Homeless Outreach and Medical Education Project.
