Abstract
Objectives. This study assessed the effects of beta-blockade on heart rate variability in patients with coronary artery disease and determined whether the effects of metoprolol in a controlledrelease formulation and atenolol differ with regard to electrocardiographic measures of cardiac autonomic control.
