Abstract
•28.3% K. pneumoniaestrains showed co-resistance to colistin and β-lactam antibiotics.•All the MDR and ESBL producers carried ESBL-encoding genes such as blaSHV, blaTEM and blaCTX-M-1.•All 3 colistin-resistant strains had transferable plasmids and blaMCR-1.•Colistin-resistant K. pneumoniaestrains were genetically diverse.
