Abstract
The article presents a study of summer rots of apples in Waikato, Hawke's Bay and Nelson, New Zealand. Results indicated that infection of C. acutatum most likely occurs during December, January and February. It suggests a disease cycle for infection of Royal apples by C. acutatum based on the results and results reported in the literature.
