Abstract
Develops an extended version of the technique of using the ratio of the flow rates of the produced fluids in an immiscible displacement to identify geometrical and petrophysical characteristics of an oil reservoir. Application of the technique to displacements in 1D laboratory cores; Asymptotic theories for the time dependence of the produced fluid ratio in the limits where capillary is negligible and where it dominates, respectively.
