Abstract
The article offers information on the painting "Finding of Moses," attributed to Benedetto Caliari, that was acquired by John Stuart, 3rd Earl of Bute in Venice, Italy in 1769. Topics covered include a dispute to the painting's attribution, and an evidence which suggests that "Finding of Moses" was a painting by Giambattista Tiepolo in the National Gallery of Victoria, and was the same one purchased by the 3rd Earl of Bute.
