Abstract
The article discusses research which examined the exposure of jaguar populations and domestic carnivores to viral infections in the Cerrado, Amazon and Pantanal biomes of Brazil. Particular focus is given to serologic analyses for antibodies to rabies virus, canine distemper virus (CDV), feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV) and feline leukemia virus (FeLV). Findings showed that no jaguars had FeLV antigen or FIV antibody.
