Abstract
The author discusses her encaustic drawings done by applying melted black wax onto pink paper that were chosen for the present edition of the journal. Topics covered include what the drawings attempt to do, what they represent, and the working qualities of the medium used. Also mentioned is the author's interest in rendering what young girls undergo in learning about the world.
