Abstract
A biography of commercial illustrator and artist Andy Warhol is presented. He was born Andrew Warhola, Jr. in Forest City, Pennsylvania on August 6, 1928 and studied art at the Carnegie Institute of Technology in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Also cited are Warhol's friendships with artists Jasper Johns and Robert Rauschenberg, Warhol's silkscreen paintings, and his portraits of celebrities Marilyn Monroe, Elizabeth Taylor, and Jacqueline Kennedy.
