Abstract
The article discusses the overall risk and benefits of breast cancer screening or mammography. According to a 2012 landmark British review, overdiagnosis has been found in somewhere between 11 % and 19% of women who undertake mammographic screening. Comments of professor Peter Gotzsche regarding breast screening are also given.
