Abstract
The article features the L.A. Mayer Museum in west Jerusalem, Israel. The museum was founded by philanthropist Vera Frances Bryce Salomons and is dedicated to Professor Leo Arie Mayer. The museum houses Islamic art traditions from seventh to the 19th centuries from countries including Egypt, Syria and India and rare collections of European paintings of the Orient. Details of the other collections such as glasswares, metalwares and ceramics are also presented.
