Abstract
The article offers information on the relationship between periodontal disease and cardiovascular disease. Topics discussed include oral health as an important part of maintaining optimal general health, periodontal medicine that focus on periodontal health and their relationships to systemic health or disease, and risk factors associated with periodontal disease such as cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) and cerebravascular disease.
