•Urinary infection etiological agents in children show high antibiotic susceptibility.•One Escherichia coli(ST69, phylogenetic group D) was resistant to fosfomycin.•This isolate harbored blaCTX-M-14and fosA3in a 45kb IncN-type plasmid.•Fosfomycin resistance transferable mechanism in children is worrisome.
