Abstract
•Changes in DNA methylation patterns can be one of the influential factors in MS.•The patient group had greater levels of As and Cd than the healthy group.•ACKR3 gene in the patient group has a lower methylation percentage.•The methylation percentages of the APOE gene greater in the patient group.•As can be one of the factors involved in reducing methylation in the ACKR3 gene.
