Abstract
The article focuses on the proliferation of insurance claims due to the havoc of the heavy snow storm in New York. Claims against homeowners policies exceeded those from businesses in the first few days after the storm. In fact, travelers took in 20 claims compared to residential polices to every one from commercial customers. It is expected that there will be greater numbers as businesses have resumed their operations.
