Abstract
In this article, we develop an accurate and fast numerical method to analyze stochastics scattering from stratified media consisting of inhomogeneous layers with random constitutive parameters. The permittivity and/or permeability of each layer may vary continuously. Full-domain cubic B-spline basis functions are employed in the stochastic method of moment (SMoM), for calculating the scattered fields by converting the governing Helmholtz’s differential equation to a matrix form. It is shown that the complexity of the proposed full-wave approach is not affected significantly by the number of existing random parameters. The proposed method is vindicated by comparing its results with the Monte Carlo (MC) method.
